2015 Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza Results

20,000  holes in the ice were needed to accommodate all of the ice fishing men and women who descended on Hole in the Day Bay on Gull Lake, to fish in the 25th annual Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza. One of those holes produced a 6.73 pound Northern Pike within the last 15 minutes of the contest, for Steven Darrell from Owatonna, Minnesota. His big fish earned him first place and he walked away with the grand prize; a 2015 GMC pickup truck! It's the first fish Steve has caught in the 10 plus years he's been fishing in the contest, so he was due. RE/MAX Lakes Area Realty would like to congratulate Steve and give a BIG thank you to the Brainerd Jaycees for putting on such a great event for our area every year. As an organization, your dedication and commitment to helping your fellow mankind does not go unnoticed. For a list of the official results, click HERE, and good luck to everyone next year!
