It's that time of year again when people from all over the country gather in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania to see if the famous groundhog "Punxsutawney Phil" can see his shadow. If Phil can see his shadow then, as German legend has it, winter will last another six weeks. If he cannot see his shadow then spring comes early. So was the famous groundhog able to see his shadow this morning? At 7:30 a.m just before sunrise this morning members of the Inner Circle, the group who heads up the celebration, announced the "forecast". And the verdict is: Early Spring! So get out those rubber boots and dust off the gardening tools because according to Punxsutawney Phil, spring will be here before we know it!
